- TOMORROW's much-anticipated Victoria's SecretFashion Show will pay homage to pop culture, the circus and the silver screen. This year's annual catwalk extravaganza will present 65 different costumes and 28 pairs of Angel wings, and has been described as "magical" by the collection's designer, Thomas Todd.
"This year's show will open with a spectacular theme that sets the tone for the entire show," Todd told WWD of the circus-themed opener. "There will be nostalgic romance, /historical fashion and epic references to pop culture."
It's also been confirmed that joining Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne in making her Victoria's Secret Angel debut this year, is model Hilary Rhoda. The Estée Lauder spokesmodel posted a picture of herself exercising in preparation on Twitter, writing: "#VSFashionShow training. You get out what you put in!"
The Angels flocked to New York over the weekend for their costume fittings, including Miranda Kerr - reported to be wearing a green velvet bodysuit covered with Swarovski crystals and feathers - and Alessandra Ambrosio, who has the honour of wearing this year's multi-million-pound Fantasy Bra. Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge and Candice Swanepoel have all also Tweeted their excitement following their costume fittings.
Other segments to feature in the show include a floral spectacular entitled Angels In Bloom, and a chapter referred to as Dangerous Liaisons - during which Rihanna will perform. As with previous years, footwear will come courtesy of Nicholas Kirkwood.
A special costume has also been created in tribute to the 10 year anniversary of Swarovski's collaboration with Victoria's Secret. Designed by Thomas, the "diaphanous" creation (sketch pictured left) will feature in the Silver Screen portion of the show - worn by model Cameron Russell - and features Art Deco motifs and plenty of "cinematic drama".
"Each year, we're faced with the challenge of living up to the last spectacular Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and to achieve this, we rely on lots and lots of shimmering, luxurious Swarovski elements," said Todd. "We have created many more looks using crystal because we really want to celebrate our decade of collaboration with Swarovski."
Two shows will take place at the Armory in New York tomorrow, the first at 4pm local time (9pm GMT) and the second at 8pm (1am GMT).
The Victoria's Secret Fashion show will be broadcast on Tuesday December 4 on CBS television network in the US.
